La 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division viene creata tra il 1942 e il 1943 per andare a rinforzare le truppe tedesche sul fronte orientale.
The 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division was created between 1942 and 1943 to reinforce the German troops on the Eastern Front.

Nel Luglio del '43 la divisione viene trasferita in Italia per fronteggiare lo sbarco alleato in Sicilia, difende la lenta ritirata tedesca a Taranto, Foggia e Salerno fronteggiando i reparti dell'8 armata e 5 americana.
In July '43 the division was transferred to Italy to stop the Allied landing in Sicily, fighting in Taranto, Foggia and Salerno facing departments of 'British Eighth Army and the 5th U.S. Army to defend the slow German retreat





Si attesta a Cassino in protezione della LINEA GUSTAV e qui le viene dato il soprannome di GREEN DEVIL, grazie alla loro tenacia nella resistenza ai continui bombardamenti e attacchi alleati.
The division is transferred in Cassino on the Gustav line, here is the nickname of GREEN DEVIL, due to the tenacity in resistance to the continuous bombings and attacks allies.


 

Il GREEN nasce dal fatto che per meglio mimetizzarsi ricoprirono e sostituirono i pantaloni blu della divisa Luftwaffe. Dopo il ripiegamento li ritroviamo a Roma e poi di nuovo in difesa sul fronte ADRIATICO della LINEA GOTICA.
The Green's nickname comes from the fact that replaced the blue trousers of his uniform to blend in better with the green ones. After the retreat we find them in Rome and then back on defense into Adriatic front of the Gothic Line.


I modelli realizzati sono quelli di questa divisione anche se non avendo particolari insegne sono riutilizzabili anche per le altre brigate di paracadutisti sul fronte Italiano e Normandia.
The models are painted for this division but without painted signs you could use it for other brigades of paratroopers on the Italian front and Normandy.
